Our Home Fed Duck

By looking at the picture, some people may say this is a home fed bird being kept in the cage. In fact, it is a duck. But its not just a duck. Its a story....

Here the story goes..................

A few weeks ago, my sister in law came back home with a big box filled with about 100 eggs. For your information my family love to eat eggs ( especially Poung Tea Koun). Since there were too many eggs brought home, we didn't manage to eat them all at once. So its like we ate 20 to 30 of them a day mostly at weekends...The remaining would be kept to be cooked the next time. Unexpectedly, last saturday morening, when my mum got up, she saw a BABY DUCK just hatching...So there you go, we have a duck. What a timing!!! Its never too late for a duck to hatch just before it is cooked!!!

Since then, the baby duck has been raised and well taken care of everyday. Everyone loves it ( I should address the duck as she or he, but since m not sure about its sex..so...). My mum says the duck is very lucky and it means that it is meant to be with us.....

Nory's Late Birthday Celebration and Just A Regular Meet-Up

This weekend, despite the fact that we are having less and less members left, still we struggled to call for a meet-up just to celebrate a bit of birthday party for Nory and to basically see each other again after somewhat a long Khmer new year break.

There were only four us as mentioned by Ven in the email. Yet the birthday party reception seemed somehow huge in terms of the the food, drinks and entertainment provided..Yeah..the fruit was technically left over from New Year's, but it was still in good condition and edible..

As for the Agenda of the celebration, we started of with birthday song followed by candle blowing, next we come to eating session, singing, cards playing, story reading, chit-chatting and more eatings......

FYI, Tro, even though you were not physically present, still Nory reserveed a piece of cake for you..just so you know how emotionally she is attached with you...

For more details, you guys can check out the photos......

BD Cake...

Cake Cutting............

KTV session....Both ladies are singing (Bes Doung Chhkourt)

Ice cream break.........Initially, Nory thought we would
buy the ice cream and would askVen to pay for it, but
instead she ended up telling everyone that it was a
present for the three of us...how generous she was..

This was the moment when Ven volunteered to read
us an interesting article from Angkor Thom Magazine.
Guys, just by looking at his lips while reading, you
can imagine how interested he was in the article.
So were we!!!

Finally, it comes to our Chit-Chat Show..We basically
talked Pi Nis Pi Nos, mostly about our friends and
our next meet up plan........

Alone in the Office

Its the fourth day of Cambodian New Year. No one but me is back to work today. I've been sitting here in the office for about 7 hours now. Nobody knows how bored i have been sitting in front of my computer doing every little thing about nothing at all. I've been calling those i can call and talk to both inside and outside the country.

Tha, my gay friend in the US, was the first one i called..i talked to him for more than half an hour i think. He was talking to me and at the same time eating his dinner. At times, i hadly understood what he was talking about due to the fact that he was chewing something in his mouth at the same time. It was fun to have him accompanied me on the phone. Actually i have always wanted to call him since i can use the telephone here making overseas call for free, but i just wanted him to call me first coz its like he has called everybody except me...Shame on me...

Later, i called up a few friends, talking about this and that...mostly something behind people's back..Lol........The last one was Ven.....We basically discussed about my intention to apply for a scholarship...i was at last felt discouraged to apply for Australian Leadership Adwards being told that this award is only given to those with strong leadership background, someone like Mr Pheakdey. I hope you still remember him..sigh....

Anyway, I still have plenty of scholarship opportunity, maybe, no for sure, i will try the one Hour recommends.

M off soon. Just got a text message from my boss saying i could take leave for this afternoon. What a releaf!!!! I was wondering if could survive even for one more hour here in the office alone.

Thats all, guys...Thanks for reading what ive got to say....Keep reading my next post, Will ya???

Guys, I apologize for being absent for such a long time from blogging...just have no idea what to blog and as well as find no time to do so....since today, sitting infront of my desk, having nothing to do, boss is out, m taking this opportunity to feed my blog a little bit after a long decade of starving........

Here are some pictures, you guys can check them out or download them if you like...The internet is somehow slow, so cant upload that many. But i promise to do more the next time...So stay tuned...and do commend folks to motivate my blog to be alive.....

Help!!! Help!!! see how brutally i was treated by
those gangsters?? Damn!!!Ouch!! A punch from
HOur, and a big elbow from Paul...it doesn't look
painful for me, though. Ven, its important that you
keep your little brother safe in such a situation..
Mol, is that all you can do?? To stand watching and
being scared?

Five-head dragon.........

I asked them to do crazy style, but none of them
except Ven followed the instruction.

Thanks to my Camera for being able to enhance
the beauty and charm of you guys' faces...
